Today’s Truth: Finding joy in God’s presence isn’t difficult, but it takes effort.įor God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24 The more you practice talking to Him, reading the Word and praying, the easier it will become and the more you’ll find joy in His presence. Getting to know a new friend takes time and effort, and your relationship with God is no different. Each time you make room in your life for God, it makes joy in His presence easier. Then when you wake up in the middle of the night and run to grab a drink, spend a second asking God to show you something you don’t understand. It might be two minutes a day before you fall asleep at night. Determine to make room in your life for God. With all the distractions and things screaming for our attention, finding joy in God’s presence can feel like it might be impossible. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not difficult to have a relationship with God, but it is difficult sometimes to keep yourself focused on Him. But it might take a bit of effort on your part. Having an exciting real relationship with God is possible for you. You might not experience that each time you open your Bible, and that’s ok. Wow! What an awesome place to be in where you find joy simply by being with God and being in His presence. God’s presence is something that is for you, just like it was for King David. Let’s take a look at today’s Bible verse: You make known to me the path of life you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Perhaps you wished that it was awesome like one you saw a pastor have and you’ve wondered if something like that was possible for you too. Have you ever thought about your relationship with God? Maybe you thought about what you’d like it to be. Then be open and willing to act on what God is showing you. God will show you a way that you can use things you’re good at to make money. If you have a financial need in your life, begin to ask God to show you ways that you can produce wealth. God wants you blessed financially so that you can be a blessing to others. You might be able to make money through your job, or perhaps you could start a business selling candy bars in your lunch room, or even make money on an investment or savings account. He puts in each of us a way that we can make money. ![]() It tells us that God gives each of us the ability to get wealth. However, today’s Bible verse tells us that God blesses us in a different way. – Deuteronomy 8:18ĭo you ever wish you could win a ton of money on a TV show, or you had a rich relative that left you tons of money when they died? Even better, wouldn’t it be great if God would just put lots of money into your checking account? Or put a ton of money in your Bible so when you open it up to read, you just pull out bill after bill? If God blessed us this way, it sure would be a lot more exciting and easier. ![]() But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
